Featured GT40 Julian Zaremba's GTD

In eye catching mustard (?) yellow with black stripes Julian's GTD has the ubiquitous Ford 302 but less commonly with IDF Webers atop.

Driven through a Renault 21 box, it has Image wheels with Pirelli P Zero tyres. Wheels are certainly 17" maybe even 18".

Picture above is at M40 services and below I believe at the NEC.

Tim Booth's GTD

Ironic that Tim's newly acquired GTD becomes the featured GT40 but that's the fall of the dice.

Tim has bought this GT40 from long time owner (and builder) only last month. Tim lives in Cornwall. The GTD has Rover V8 and Renault gearbox. It was completed in 1989 yet is in terrific condition and is a tribute to Stuart Watson-Davies the original owner.

Above you can see it gracing the GT40 Enthusiasts Club stand at Castle Combe last year, a fabulous day out with a parade around the circuit - thanks to Dave Hensley for that event. [16.09.07]

Wilf Atkins' Tornado

Wilf's Tornado TS40 sports a Ford SVO engine with Holley carb, Renault gearbox and Halibrand wheels.

This well finished GT40 replica was originally owned by Ron Fairbrother and built between 1996 and 1998.

Carl Barnard's GTD40

The GTD40 of Carl Barnard is featured car this month.

It has a Ford 302 with Holley carb, Renault gearbox, 15" wheels and Goodyear tyres.  This car was completed in 1991. Above you can see it at Goodwood. Click on the image for a higher resolution scan.

Tim Martin's GTD40

Tim Martin's GTD40

As if to disprove the random number generator I use to select car of the 'week', Bob MacDonald's car came up. Since he's been featured after the AGM [left] I ran it again and our long serving treasurer was randomly picked.

Tim's GTD has a Ford 302, Renault gearbox and 17" wheels - Tim you need to give me more detail! This is not the first GT40 Tim has owned, he purchased this one in 2003. Click on the image for a larger view. This picture was taken at the 2005 GTD AGM at which, as I recall, Tim's GT40 won best presented car of the day. Look at the reflection of leaves in the sill, excellent finish Tim.

If you go to the Members Area you will see many more images of M11 GTD ("My GTD").

To qualify for this spot you must be a current (2007) member and your GT40 must be completed with an image sent to us. We currently have 86 members with these criteria.  [27.05.07]
