Simon Winter has offered to make videos about members’ cars. He is prepared to film and edit short "profiles" (3-5 mins approx). The idea is to publish these on our own Website (access to videos could be restricted), YouTube or similar .
It would involve the owner sitting down and talking about his car in a short interview - when the car was built, did they build it, upgrades etc - basically their story of car ownership. There would be static shots of the car and any modifications/upgrades featured. This could be VERY dull to outsiders, but to genuine enthusiasts, it will be very interesting and also a chance to put names to faces!
There won’t be any driving shots, as there are plenty of videos out there on the Internet, and the idea of the profile is about the owners "relationship" with the car.
Filming could be in groups of 3 or 4, at a nice photogenic location and at a time to be agreed by all; an area meeting is the most likely place. Simon is quite prepared to do this free of charge, but he would very much appreciate a small contribution towards petrol costs to get to the location.
The finished profiles will be posted to the members on DVD, at which time they can decide how/when they want to upload them and where, although it would make sense to have them all in one location such as here on the Enthusiasts Club site. Contact Simon Winter on 01708 224402 or simonjrwinter*hotmail.com to discuss this further.
