Work Required

The project is currently dismantled and will require:

• Bulkheads fitting and welding
• Steering system fitting and welding
• Pedal box installation and welding
• Fuel tank installation
• Exhaust installation
• Bodywork refitting and alignment to the chassis
• General assembly, wiring, plumbing and finishing

This is an unfinished project and will require transport by trailer.

Condition

The Ford 302 engine was a running engine when removed, although it has not been run recently and should be inspected before recommissioning. The Audi 016 gearbox is fitted to the engine and is a popular transaxle choice for GT40 builds.

Early KVA GT40 chassis are becoming increasingly difficult to find and are well regarded amongst GT40 enthusiasts. This represents an excellent basis for someone looking to complete a V8-powered GT40 replica without starting from scratch.
