GTD Mk. 1 For Sale.

A race prepared GTD purchased by me in 1988.

The car was built by JTM racing services over a two year period for a newly announced race series for sports racing and GT cars, both originals and replicas.

The suspension was modified to fully rose jointed wishbones and trailing arms, Koni shock absorbers, vented discs and AP callipers.

The engine was built by a specialist firm in Torrance California using a rare ” Fontana ” Ford Alloy block. Yates CNC heads, carrillo rods, JP Pistons, Jessel roller rockers dry sumped and a modified Bo Laws holley carburettor ,( required by the regulations for a single carb) running on MSD ignition. The Dyno figure was just over 630 bhp.

The engine is mated to a Hewland DG 300 gearbox and has a full cross over exhaust manifold.

The car was only raced occasionally over a 10 year period due to  overseas employment. At the end of that time the engine was rebuilt by Knight racing services and showed about 620 hp.

The car has not been used since and has remained on a trestle  for the last 20+ years so would require re commissioning.

For sale as it stands complete for £ 78000.

Alternatively I am prepared to sell the car as a rolling chassis, less engine dry sump and  exhaust and gearbox for £45000 . I have a brand new Renault gearbox to be included with the second option.
